That’s so amazing!
I too set an intention and took action to live a different lifestyle. I had no idea at that time how that would look/be. I just knew I wanted something different. I wanted an adventure.
A couple of years ago now, I had the opportunity to setup up an old Volkswagen Vanagon the way I wanted. (Great to “literally” have a mobile home.)
I heard about/was guided to a this little island, in the Salish Sea on the West Coast of Canada, where there are many hippies, artist, and musicians.
Last year, when I first got there, I was hired to work at a campground just a few hours a week, in exchange for the basic amenities I needed and I even got paid for the time I worked.
It was a three minute walk to the main beach and ten minutes the nude beach, where most of the locals go. I didn’t mind the longer walk :)
This year I went back and lived in the forest with some of the new friends that had met last year, not far from several beaches. It’s quite a small island.
I couldn’t have imagined what I’ve experienced the last couple of summers, and it’s all because I was able to embrace the uncertainty and overcome the fear of the unknown.
Now I feel much more confident in setting inspired intentions, without rigid expectations, and just being open to what comes into my life.
