It’s sad to see the comments that first of all criticize this article and point to the moon is a big dead rock.

It’s part of our natural ecosystem and has a tremendous effect upon the Earth, which to me is most evident in the tides.

I also realize there’s way more to it than that that I don’t know. It’s part of the living universe, and is thus part of us.

The “ dead rock” viewpoint is an indicator of a deeper issue that is rooted in the destruction of the planet, I believe.

I respect everyone’s right to believe what they want as long as their resulting actions don’t cause harm to other humans or the planet (and moon), which of course they most often do.
