If we can untangle/free ourselves from these sometimes even self-imposed restrictive conventions, a whole new world of possibilities opens up for us.

I’ve certainly had numerous “age gap” relationships and yes, there has been commentary from family and friends.

Personally, I found it’s all about connection — just as you’ve related.
