For any sort of equality to exist, I believe it’s a fundamental aspect of freedom and choice for anyone to wear what they want, how they want, or to go top-free without being sexualized and restricted. I even consider it a non-negotiable.
I’m on HRT and now that my breasts are forming I’ve been told by some people that I need to start covering up. So I can now relate firsthand to what I’ve always seen women afflicted by.
I stand firm and bear my chest in appropriate situations as often as possible and when I want to, as I always have.
I believe that through authenticity, visibility and enduring some challenge that change can and will take place.
I’m now thinking that changing these repressive social media rules could/would help bring about positive change and lead toward equality for everyone.
